The term derivative indicates an advanced form of trading where its price is dependent
upon or derived from one or more underlying assets. A majority of the common underlying
assets include stocks, bonds, commodities, currencies, market indices, and interest rates.
Futures contracts, options and swaps, and forward contracts are the most common types of
                              derivatives.

Derivative is defined as a contractual agreement between two different parties, where the
worth of the commodity or the services offered, will be given to you by the other person.
This way, the risk involved in investment gets minimized and is transferred to both the
parties. Hence, derivatives are generally used to hedge risk.
